Topics of Interest:

ENC-01 intends to be an inclusive event for computer scientists, regardless of their specialty. In previous versions of ENC (1997 and 1999), organizers had the program structured around the seven Special Interest Groups instituted by SMCC membership:

  • Machine Learning
  • Information Retrieval
  • Graphics, Vision and Robotics
  • Software Engineering
  • Human-Computer Interaction
  • Logic and Computing
  • Distributed and Parallel Systems

In this occasion, we have convened a Program Committee that complements those seven areas, in order to invite papers of other specialties in Computer Science.

Paper Submission and Evaluation:

All papers must be registered and submitted electronically, through the ENC'01's web page: http://enc01.smcc.org.mx, by the deadline of May 20 at 23:59 hrs. In that web page, authors will find an electronic registration form, Latex and Word style-templates, as well as a mechanism for the submission of full papers. All papers must be submitted for evaluation as a PDF or PostScript file in the formatting conventions established there.

Papers will be reviewed by at least two program committee members. Selection criteria will focus on significance, originality, clarity and potential for discussion. Notification to authors will be sent by June 30, 2001. Revised papers for inclusion in the Conference Proceedings are due by July 15, 2001.
